How do I know if I am at risk of having a sleep condition?

If you respond YES to 3 or more questions on the STOP-BANG Questionnaire, you are at risk of having Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

If you total is 10 or more points on the Epworth Scale you are at risk of having a sleep disorder.

Do you doze off or fall-asleep in the following situations?

  • Sitting and reading

  • Watching TV

  • Sitting inactive in a public place (ex: theater).

  • As a passenger in a car for an hour without a break.

  • Sitting and talking with someone

  • Sitting quietly after a lunch

  • Driving a car while stopped for a few minutes in traffic
